Small on looks, HUGE on taste! I was having an informal get together at my home for my husband's birthday and to watch some football. I thought it would be nice to let our family and friends choose something from a nearby menu as we like to support local businesses. Although 401 Deli has been around for close to two years, it was our first time trying them. We were sorry we hadn't happened upon them earlier. I was in the area early for a meeting and appreciate a well-organized spot. I ordered online for pickup and received a text with the pickup time, followed by another when my order was ready. The small Fenway with sausage and peppers, topped with spicy relish and mustard, came on an excellent roll and was a solid 6 out of 6. Not sure when I’ll be back in the area, but I’ll definitely make my way here again.
I absolutely love turkey subs! They are my favorite. While I typically crave something a bit more exciting than a regular cold cut, 401 had a fantastic selection of options that all sounded incredible. I decided to stick with my usual, and they really delivered. The rolls were perfect and tasted amazing. I will definitely be coming back!
My new go to place. Grilled chicken ceaser salad is consistently excellent. Greens are always fresh, the dressing is really good, and the chicken is seasoned and cooked well. Meatball Parm is excellent and half a large is a meal for me. The brownies are also really good very chocolatey and dense.

The subs here are outstanding, especially the fresh bread, which is on a completely different level. I had the turkey and bacon with provolone, while my wife opted for the prosciutto with peppers and provolone. She absolutely raved about hers! We will definitely be returning.
I ordered two small grinders, one specifically without tomatoes. However, both arrived without tomatoes and neither had any lettuce! At $9 each, this is unacceptable. How do you serve grinders without lettuce unless requested? Definitely won’t be ordering from here again!
I hope this can be attributed to inexperience, but it seems that if you want service, it's better to call ahead. They prioritize answering the phone and taking orders over assisting customers who are waiting in person.
Although I live nearby, I discovered 401 Deli by chance while getting gas next door. Their Thanksgiving Sandwich is incredible, the staff are friendly, and the place has a great local vibe. Highly recommend!

I go in often . Friendly staff with an ear for modifications, quality ingredients. It gets a little busy around lunch time but is to be expected with a mom pop shop that sells a good product
Great food, reasonable prices. The meatballs are huge and taste great! The deviled eggs are fabulous so grab them when you see them! Great place to visit all around!
