We didn’t complain during our meal; we simply paid the exorbitant bill and got up to leave. However, the owner followed my husband outside and began using profanity, questioning why he didn’t leave a tip. My husband pointed out that tipping isn’t mandatory when the food and service are unsatisfactory. The owner continued to curse and told us not to come back.
I have never felt so humiliated, especially with other patrons witnessing the scene. The server even came outside, touched my husband, and attempted to give him a coin (which he had left on the table) while telling him to keep it. They crossed so many unacceptable boundaries. We will never return, and I urge anyone reading this review...
The food here was good, once we finally received it and it was correct. One member of our group had to send their burger back three times before getting the right one, and another person's order was completely overlooked until we inquired about it twice while everyone else was already enjoying their meals. There was only one other table occupied when we placed our order, so the slow service wasn’t excusable. What really frustrated me was the service itself; our waitress was rude from the moment we arrived and displayed the same attitude towards other guests. I certainly won't be coming back.
My family and I dined at 4118 on Wednesday night, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. The young waitress welcomed us with menus, ensured our drinks were filled, and consistently checked in on us. Sandy, our waitress, was very attentive and had a great understanding of the restaurant and the surrounding area. The food was delicious, and everyone, including the kids, thoroughly enjoyed their meals. We can't wait to return to Highlands and will definitely make a trip back to 4118.
I took shelter here from the thunderstorm, and it felt like fate! Chef Adam served us some incredible buttermilk-marinated chicken strips and a special Cuban burger, both paired with the best mac and cheese I've ever tasted (complete with charred broccoli). The bartender, Sidney, was exceptionally friendly and shared great local tips and food recommendations. Eric, the manager, made us feel almost like locals ourselves. This turned out to be a delightful surprise!

I tried the appetizers and sandwiches. The avocado toast and bruschetta were tasty, and the club sandwich was also good. However, the potatoes served with the marrow and scallops were hard and lacking in flavor, and the marrow was quite fatty. Although the scallops were cooked well, the overall experience was disappointing. I ended up ordering a house salad afterward just to feel like I had actually eaten a meal.
The 4118 Burger was tasty, and the Reuben Sandwich was good, though the bread was grilled a little too long, making it dry and brittle. The charcuterie board and avocado salad were also enjoyable. The service was excellent. The Patty Melt was good as well, but it had the same issue with the bread as the Reuben.
The food was decent, but the service left much to be desired. It took nearly ten minutes for our drink order to arrive, and then another ten for the food to come out. After that, our server vanished for about 20 minutes.
This restaurant is amazing! The chef is exceptional, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The dishes are delicious and wonderfully paired! I can't wait to come back frequently!

The coleslaw was really delicious, and the smash burger was great too. The fries were outstanding!
