85°c Bakery Cafe Arden Fair Mall

First time trying this shop at the Arden Fair Mall, and it was just ok.We came in from the parking lot entrance and the dining room was a disaster. It looked like someone poured the trash can all over the floor and tables..I wish I had taken a picture. It's like no one came to clean the entire day, and it was a bit of a turn off. We grabbed an egg tart and a mushroom pastry thing (can't remember what it was called), and got in line. The line was long, but moved quickly! We also ordered a slice of Black Forest Cake, which is my husband's all time favorite cake. We were at Macy's and Arden Fair Mall and saw this new bakery and cafe. Decided to give it a try. It's a pretty cool concept that each of the baked items are individually wrapped and you just go up and grab what you want from the cases. First you grab a train just loaded up. They also have some fresh baked items that are behind the counter that you can ask. They have smoothies, coffee, and boba type drinks. The price is seem fairly reasonable. The items seem fresh. You can sign up for the rewards program by downloading their app. Some items were better than others. They're not super filling so you may have to grab two to three items if you are looking for a meal.

I am so not impressed with this place. Went to get breakfast goodies. The savory pastries are sweet not savory. There is no place to warm up a baked good. The croissants are third rate. The atmosphere is sterile and unpleasant. And expensive. Broght the pastries home. I ate a couple of bites of mine but didn't eat it all because of the sweet dough in a savory pasty. My daughter and granddaughter didn't even eat theirs. The chocolate croissant was a huge disappointment. I should have just gone to Peets.

I love these storesss!Unfortunately when we went to this location I was stuffed with lunch, so I didn't think to get a pastry but I did get the grapefruit tea per usual.Service was great, these workers seemed to be really enjoying their shifts. They did have a few table and chair dotted about the store so if you wanted to stay and enjoy your food there you can but most people were taking their order to go.I don't live in the area but if ever in the are I'd stop by again. Absolutely LOVE 85C. Delicious Taiwanese pastries as well as milk teas, coffee, tea and smoothies. You can get sweets or savory items. Usually th wait is pretty short and the staff is always friendly. Their pastries often rotate but I love the egg custard when they have it.

The Strawberry Deluxe Cake is So Yummy!! The Red Velvet is moist and chocolatey! The Mango Creme Brulee was the perfect mix of fruity creamy! The Coffee Brulee and Tiramisu were okay, and the Blueberry Cheesecake was forgettable.

Shared a boxed custard tart with my mom. It was pretty good. Drank a green tea with boba. The boba was still warm and I appreciate that it was freshly made. They do not offer any sugar free baked goods.

I just love to try the new and different pastry treats they serve here. So many choices and all so different. Their coffees and smoothies are excellent too. I stop here every time I go to the mall.
