A Bruxa D'evora - Reserva de mesa

We had dinner in the outdoor restaurant and couldn’t believe how deceiving they can be. Without giving you time to look at the menu to choose the starters, they bring to your table the most expensive starter as a recommendation without mentioning the price, and you end up paying 15€ for a tiny cheese and some ham. Also ordered the 20€ dish of “Secretos of Pork” and got four tiny pieces of meat, some rice/beans and vegetables and never got the french fries that were supposed to be part of the dish. What a joke. Absolute ripoff and trap for tourists. Avoid.

Not overly busy and service was slow. Ordered the Veal Steak medium cooked. It came cooked rare, I asked them to cook it more, they took it back. My wife ordered the Lamb and it was perfect. The Veal was brought back and still was rare because the piece of meat was 5cm thick x 30cm x 50cm. Veal needs to be thin (1cm or less) to be tender and cooked evenly in my experience. The meal was taken again and they cut it into strips to cook it enough, in the mean time my wife finished her dinner before I was able to begin eating my meal. Not impressed.

What a treasure! We were greeted at the door when we arrived and were thanked for our patronage on the way out. The food was excellent. Two of our group had the partridge which was tender and very flavourful. Another had veal steak which was done to perfection and the other had cod which was delicious. The presentation was beautiful. I strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a gourmet treat.

We tried both outside and inside in different days and outside it’s definitely the party place, very happy and fast. Inside it’s the true restaurante experience. Both were above expectation, great food and an amazing team always there and smiling! Reserva una mesa ahora

Tudo maravilhoso! Passado um ano voltámos ao restaurante e continuamos a adorar, desde a comida ao atendimento. Quando chegámos ao restaurante ficamos um pouco tristes pois mudaram a carta e retiraram o nosso prato favorito “ a farinheira à Brás”
