this restaurant is not what it seems. the beautiful terrace on many photos is no longer a speciality of the restaurants, but there are a few of the outside tables that still have a beautiful view. we were looking forward to a beautiful...cote du boeuf, which we have often eaten elsewhere. Unfortunately, that was not the case! the meat was of very poor quality, served with soggy unrecognisable vegetables that restaurants served no more than 10 years ago most places! they also arrived about 10 minutes before the meat, so were stone cold when it arrived. there was not even the opportunity to fries with the court. that would have been acceptable if that had been tasty and as expected. I visited with my wife, who also visited this page in detail. Please note again that the photos on the website were one as this was sold during the kovid to the next hotel, without doubt to increase some euro and is not available. so that they dinate on tables in a very public area. it is enough to say that eating the cote de boeuf was like chewing a tennis ball. the so-called manager had no interest at all in promoting our views and our eating experience, except a very public argument. our worst food in two weeks on holiday by far. go to the calvi city itself and to the harbour area for massively better culinary experiences.
Let's quickly pass on the setting and view of this restaurant located in the citadel, beautiful and quiet! Nothing to say! waitresses are also irreproachable, smiling and very pro. I took a caesar salad (15€) probably one of the best salad I was given to eat in a restaurant! the products are of quality it is undeniable, including the chicken that obviously does not come out of a supermarket barquette! My friends have taken a Corsican salad, vegetable pasta and a fish, everyone is very happy with his dish! dessert, gourmet coffee, like nothing to say, it's a faultless one! I recommend!
We had a really memorable lunch. The view is really fantastic and the service was immaculate. We had the set lunch which was very good though I did not choose the right dessert. My friends drooled over the chocolate and pistachio slice but I am...not a chocolate fan and my choice of the local cheesecake was slightly burnt and too sweet

only for the magnificent view of the bay of Calvi, in the quiet of the citadel, this restaurant is worth a lunch. but when in addition the service is pleasant, effective and smiling, you can go the moment will be pleasant. and to spoil nothing, salads are really excellent, copyy, fresh, with quality products. A very good time.
After some very mixed experiences in Calvi, do yourselves tje pleasure to enter the citadel for A Candella. Goid atmoshere, and reallt goos food. Bit pricey, but compared to the tourist msin street...do it. Walk an extra mile.
the restaurant has a magnificent view. after a long wait between the order and the arrival of the dishes we tasted very good dishes. We'll be back. for info menu only in the evening (on the menu at noon) and a child menu.
beautiful terrace and beautiful views of the golf as long as you enjoy a good table. As the hotel does not make a reservation, it is necessary to arrive early (19h), but it is worth it! friendly welcome.
