I’m genuinely confused by all the positive feedback for this restaurant. I ordered two subs, and unfortunately, both were quite underwhelming. The bread and cold cuts tasted stale, and the mozzarella was anything but fresh. The capicola was sliced so thick that it was very chewy, causing me to remove it from the sandwich. The black and white cookie I got was also old and dry. What frustrates me the most is that I spent $54 on two subs, a side of fries, a bag of chips, and a cookie, which feels completely unreasonable. I ended up throwing away most of the sandwiches and the cookie. I would suggest looking for another dining option. Honestly, I don’t take pleasure in writing negative reviews.

I’m truly perplexed by the rave reviews this restaurant has received. It’s pretty hard to mess up a sandwich, but my experience was rather disappointing. The cold cuts tasted stale, and the bread was just as unappealing. The mozzarella was far from fresh, and the Capicola was sliced so thickly that it was difficult to chew—almost like beef jerky. To top it off, I ended up spending $54 on two sandwiches, a bag of chips, some fries, and a black and white cookie. I would suggest steering clear of this place.

I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. As soon as you walk through the door, either John or Charlie welcomes you with genuine warmth, making you feel at home. You can pick anything from the menu and be amazed by the flavorful, homemade Italian dishes. They truly serve the best sandwiches in New Jersey!
