Iets verder uit het centrum van Kaprun gelegen, maar een bezoek zeker waard. Het restaurant heeft een authentieke Oostenrijkse uitstraling met veel houtwerk, wat bijdraagt tot een gezellige sfeer. De kaart biedt een zeer grote keuze aan Oostenrijkse gerechten (de Pfandl-gerechten zijn een aanrader). Het eten is bijzonder lekker, de porties zijn groot, de prijs zeer schappelijk. Ons eerste bezoek was op Faschingsdienstag. De bediening was weliswaar vriendelijk, maar wij hadden de indruk dat de diensters (in carnavalsoutfit) de service zo snel mogelijk wilden afronden om te kunnen gaan feesten. Dit gaf ons een eerder opgejaagd gevoel. Bij ons tweede bezoek viel alles echter in de juiste plooi,...

I have eaten here a few times now and can see this is a very friendly family-run business. We were a larger group and made to feel welcome. The waiters and waitresses were attentive and came past regularly.A variety of food for all palettes - the locals I went there with swear this is the best steak in the area. I had the Wilderer-Schnitzel which was excellent, however my fellow diners who did order steak enjoyed it thoroughly.The prices are reasonable and there is no rush to get you out the door after you finish your meal which gives plenty of time for a little schnapps and a coffee.

Wer großzügige Portionen und lokale Gerichte bevorzugt ist hier gut aufgehoben.Es wird gerne Butter als Geschmacksträger in der Küche verwendet, welche sich natürlich positiv auf den Geschmack auswirkt, aber weniger ist manchmal mehr..Kaiserschmarren war aber hervorragend. Bedienung könnte etwas aufmerksamer und freundlicher sein.Achtung: Preise in der Onlinespeisekarte auf der Homepage sind bei vielen Gerichten um 1,- EUR günstiger als in der Speisekarte im Lokal..

wie schon die meisten Vorposter geschrieben haben, passt hier das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis noch im Gegensatz zu anderen Lokalitäten in Kaprun.Essen schmeckt auch sehr gut, kann man nicht meckern. Ambiente ok, teilweise in die Jahre gekommen. Mir persönlich ist aber eh wichtiger, dass das Essen passt. Reserva una mesa ahora

This is good place for a rest after whole day of hiking or skiing. The variety of local food, great wines choice and regional fitout makes this place desirable. Be careful of big portions they give, if you're small stomach person.

We had a family dinner, trying a number of different dishes. The food is quite basic and yet pretty nice and well cooked. After trying some places in Kaprun we may say it was our best experience thus far.

Essen ist gut, die Bedienung richtig Pinzgauerisch, man kann sich nicht beschweren, die Preise sind normal, und die Essensräume sind Urig eingerichtet, wir als Einheimische gehen gerne dort hin

Well done Gasthof zür Mühle! Great and friendly service, fantastic local food, nice atmosphere... the place to go for a nice dinner in and around Kaprun.

We selected from their menu. Local dishes, like schnitzel and ragout, but not very surprising. Better choices are out there in town.
