We 've been to A La Mode three times (once for a birthday party) and the first two times were amazing. The third time though I was really surprised (and disappointed) by the level of customer service. The shop has two walls in the front side rooms covered in toys, 60% of which are at eye level for the kids. We were there with a friend and our kids got down a few toys to look at and play with but the worker came in flustered at seeing the toys down and was passive aggressive to the boys which they didn 't pick up on (thankfully) but he seemed unreasonably stressed at the situation so maybe it was a rough day.He gruffly told the kids they needed to put everything back and said Yeah and we real...

I absolutely adore this ice cream shop, which is not just an ice cream parlor but also an event space and a children's boutique, all in one! They specialize in allergy-friendly ice cream for kids, ensuring that there are no nuts, eggs, or sesame in any of their flavors, which is fantastic. Every ice cream flavor is free of common allergens, so children with allergies won't feel left out. I really love this concept! They even offer mini cones that are perfect for little ones under the age of 5, making them easy to hold in their tiny hands—it's truly brilliant! Amazing ice cream served with huge portions at very low rates $6 for 2 scoops), with plenty of unique and interesting flavors 23 including 8 vegan). It is also really kid friendly and they sell a ton of children's toys and accessories. They do allow sampling and staff is really friendly. This is also a place that is really good for people nut allergies as they use no nuts of any type whatsoever.Our favorite flavors were the Rose, partly cloudy blue vanilla with marshmallows) and the speed bump chocolate with marshmallow and chocolate chips). Great texture that is slightly stretchy and good flavors were there for all the dairy options. Vegan ones where also good.

We were thrilled to learn that they serve completely allergy-free ice cream—no nuts, sesame, or eggs. They also supply their ice cream to grocery stores, so be sure to check your local freezer section! The flavors are not only unique and delicious but also presented in bright, colorful shades. Plus, their spoons and straws change color with temperature, which is just adorable! I highly recommend visiting this charming shop with your kids, or even as a big kid like me! OK, if you've got little kids, this is the place for you. Ice cream in flavors that look like cartoon colors (bubble gum, Superman blue, grass green) and no doubt taste great.But for grownups? Try finding a mint chocolate chip, or even a straight chocolate chip that isn't full of little marshmallows. The salted caramel came closest to an adult flavor, and it was delicious, but the two of us adults will give this place a miss, even though it's right in our neighborhood. Sorry.

Charming little shop offering ice cream with limited outdoor seating due to COVID-19. Their products are free from peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, and eggs, and they are absolutely fantastic. All of their flavors are delicious, but I highly recommend trying them with Vermont Nut Free Skippers on top.

I had the cinnamon as rose flavor icecream. It was delicious! The staff working on 11/23 at the night shift was friendly!! The flavor taste like actual Cinnamon rose. Very creamy and great scoops! The shop was also cute they have games clothing for the kids to purchase

This is the only place I’ve come across that serves delicious cotton candy ice cream! It’s called “Partly Cloudy,” and it has such a lovely color. Plus, you won’t break the bank when you order multiple scoops, unlike at most ice cream shops in New York City.

Our daughter hadn’t been to an ice cream shop for years due to her peanut allergy, so when we were on vacation in NYC we had to visit this gem! Delicious treats and friendly staff!
