We cycled from Colmar through the vineyards, and stopped in Obernai for a mid-afternoon meal before continuing on. What a surprise to find traditional Alsacian food that offered something vegan! Like the other review mentioned, you can substitute the cream with soy cream. Best Flammkuchen ever(and I ate quite a few while still vegetarian)...it was so crispy and the tofu was delicious. All the vegetarian items on the menu are clearly marked. The soup of the day was also vegan, but make sure to ask.

After days of cycling and endlessly trying to find food without fish or ham it was a joy to finally find a restaurant that actually understands vegetarianism and veganism! Lots of veggie and vegan choices, including gluten-free options. Everything is organic. The Gratin Végétarien with smoked tofu was really tasty. We were there on a Monday in August and it was full but we were able to reserve a table and go back later. Lovely service and I recommend a cremant with violet sirop!

Not only they have vegan food (and we know that's not easy to find in France), but they veganize local traditional dishes! Ask for soy cream instead of dairy, and don't miss the choucroute nor the flammekueche! (yes, you'll have to go at least twice). Also, everything is organic, including excellent local wines and beers.

honestly pretty cool to find vegan asacien food. taste was pretty good, but was great, at least say I tried a vegan choucroute! also they had normal eating so that we are not vegan too happy.

I had a really delicious chouc route here with smoked tofu, made with soy cream on request. I recommend to eat definitiw here, the portion size is really big and the staff is friendly

very beautiful place, hearty dishes, I especially recommend vegetarian flames and potato cake to munster. just a pity that there are no vegan options!

Just ask for their vegetarian sauerkraut, without a surprising cream that they put cream in the sauerkraut. Good sauerkraut and good tofu.

pleasant surprise in obernia! had a spicy vegan curry choucroute and fries with a locally brewed alcohol-free beer.
