I checked out Tripadvisor and found the #1 restaurant in St Etienne. Made the booking online and was a bit disappointed that it was closed on Saturdays and Sundays. I settled for the Friday to treat my erasmus year student daughter. i was running late but called ahead and they made us feel at ease and assured us it was no problem.The menu is a choice of three set menus. I put this down to their desire to produce consistent high quality by limiting the amount offered. I had a selection of snails and frogs legs for starters. A first for me and it was a revelation. My apologies to French speaking readers, I am an American visiting for business. The restaurant has been a must stop for me when I am in the region for work or personal travel. The entire staff is professional and attentive, without being intrusive. The chef surprises and delights with his selections one of my favorite meals ever was here in early 2022 and a return visit later this year was also exceptional. If you are a gourmand, the creative use of local ingredients will keep you entertained and satisfied.
