A Mesa La De Casa - Reserva de mesa

We got the recommendation during our wine tasting at Matheus Palace. The restaurant has only been opened recently and has a very modern design underlined with personal touches like a book shelf that made it feel quite homely. The owner looked literally after our every need. We were one vegetarian and one Gluten intolerante eater. She asked the kitchen to accommodate for it and made us all happy. The starters of smoked Portuguese sausage with apple purée and sweet fried onions was delicious but so was the pickled veal and the salted figs. The main, a Portuguese traditional dish of thickly sliced beef with boiled cabbage and potatoes does not sound very excite) but I can assure you it was yum.

We reached this restaurant by chance when walking arround the streets of Vila Real. From the very begining Magda the host, which later we realized is the owner was welcoming and helpful. She helped with translating the entire menu to English. The food was really good and the wine was great and very affordable. We ended up with the Riccota cheese cake which was deliciues. We also had a long nice chat with Magda who explained about Vila Real and the area, and about life here. The restaurant is highly recommended.

We went to this restaurant with my family on a sunday to try their brunch. I had a regular brunch that includes a yogurt with raspberry topping and granola, scrambled egg, fresh fruit (orange), juice, tea and more. My wife had a special brunch that included pancakes with nutella, a egg benedict, and more. There is also a large range of starters, main dishes and desserts.

I went to this location because of its good taste of furniture. But not only the atmosphere was great, as also the food was amazing. A great dinner with dessert, wine and water for 18€ is more than fair. The service was super friendly, welcoming and discrete. I can absolutely recommend this restaurant to others. All crowd ate some petiscos and Francesinha. Quite good. Trendy place, with good staff and great ambience. In the middle of the room there are a big and awesome table, so it's very good for large groups, with kids.

Excellent restaurant in a cozy atmosphere. Excellent service and hearty. The food is delicious and consists of high quality ingredients. Very recommended for couples is so relaxed and pleasantly simply perfect!!!

Well decorated cosy space. One of the best in the city. The brunch was great. I want to come back soon to try the rest of the menu.
