I went to this bagel shop with my family for the first time. We 'd moved out of town some years back and wanted to bring back some bagels with us on the way home. We ordered our bagels at the counter and I pulled out my card to pay when the cashier promptly said Cash only. I was not aware of this due to there being no type of (visible) sign stating that they only accept cash. I had only brought cards with me. Freshest Bagels and Cream Cheese on Long Island. They also have Muffins, pastry, Egg-sandwiches coffee. No onsight eating, all to go. Reasonably priced. Gets somewhat busy on weekends, so go early for the best selection. I believe cash only, but they have an ATM on premise. On street parking. Easy access from everywhere.
A&S Bagels is a modest takeout spot that doesn't offer anything extravagant. Mornings tend to be busy, but the service is efficient, the food is tasty, and everything is fresh. There are several staff members at the counters handling orders. However, finding parking in the morning can be a bit of a challenge.

They do have fresh bagels and their sandwiches are pretty good too. But for some reasons they don't accept any type of card payments. It's very weird that they don't even put a sign says cash only. I think they just want us to use the ATM inside the store.?
This is the only place that makes my coffee just right. A special shoutout to Maria—she may look a bit grumpy at work every day, but she never misses a beat when it comes to serving customers. She's a true gem!
