A Table is a small jewel of a restaurant on a side street in Sanary sur Mer, on the Mediterannean Sea. We had passed by on an earlier walk and we stopped for lunch. We were greeted with a big smile by the owner and he showed...us to a table. It was like walking into a restaurant in a fishing village. The menu was written on a chalkboard and was placed on a chair next to us. My niece and I had already decided on the dorade , sea bream in English. The dish was steamed in its own pot a wonderfully fresh fish, with potatoes, tomatoes, peppers and garlic steamed in white wine. The herbs were fresh and lent a lovely flavour to the fish. Le patron et la serveuse doivent être allergiques aux enfants !!! la chaise d un enfant n est pas assez rentable !Nous voulions réserver pour 8 dont 3 enfants. Étant en vacances pour 15 jours nous avons proposé au patron, de réserver un soir à l extérieur quand cela pouvez l arranger. Il n a pas voulu nous réserver une table et en insistant il nous a confirmer que au mieux nous pourrions dîner à l intérieur mais en étant très désagréable.Nous avons un pied à terre à Sanary et nous n avions jamais vu un restaurant aussi mauvais.Pour finir venant tout les mois, je lui ai proposé de réserver en arrière saison la prochaine fois que nous revenons sur Sanary et la il y avait moins de problème.

we wanted to eat in one of the sanary backstreet esseries, instead of trying the normal harbourfront restaurants and came over a lovely little but very friendly restaurant called 'a table' there were 5 of us and our daughter is a bit. from a restless esser and there was also a cealiac in the group not a problem, we asked the owner who served whether he had a simple little pasta for our daughter ' there were at least 2 gluten-free options from the dish, and the bark cheer and dauphinose kartoffeln were for to die! I had the kalamari that was equally good and all eat (and drank) well. so much that we hope to book again on Monday before we go. highly recommended!

This tiny Portuguese resto specializes in Cataplana, the metal clamshell cooking and serving utensil. The cabillaut Cataplana was delicious, somewhat better than the stewed calamari which was a bit bland. Both dishes were garnished with excellent roasted tiny potatoes and chorizo. The vino verde ,...a low alcohol petillant wine from northern Portugal was perfect with the cuisine. Dont miss the delicious chocolate dessert. Good value in a funky attractive setting. Be sure to book, it's tiny, although when warmer, pleasant outside tables are available. Family run with Monsieur and Madame both checking on customers. Reserva una mesa ahora

We had a very enjoyable evening at this restaurant. It was recommended by a local who maintained that it was only one of three restaurants he used at Sanary due to the freshness of the ingredients used in all the dishes. I had a cataplana...with sea bream and chorizo and plenty of fresh vegetables. For dessert I had the best panna cotta I have ever tasted. As it was late September the restaurant was not full but it obviously had a local following.

Petit resto sympa ou nous aurions dû bien manger. J'emploi le conditionnel car dès l'accueil le patron a été antipathique, aucun sourire ni humour, à 21h30 en pleine période estivale, il en avait plein le dos. Au moment de la commande, les explications sur la carte l'agaçaient, il marmonnait... Du coup nous étions 4, nous avons préféré ne pas l'ennuyer ce Monsieur et quitter le resto. Nous avons une préférence pour les méritants !

This is a little family run restaurant a few blocks up the hill from the port. We loved our dinner here! The couple who run it are Italian and Portuguese and the food is hybrid French/Italian/Portuguese. The specialty is Cataplana and it is spectacular. The...pichets of wine we had blanc are delicious. It's a small restaurant and very friendly. If you come to Sanary sur Mer this is the place to go.
