To start off, I am not a big bbq eater. Most bbq places over flavor their meat to cover up dry, overcooked or recooked meat. Sides are old tasting not fresh and flavorful.Then there is Taste of Texas. All I can say is WOW! Every bite was better than the last. The meat was super tender and was not drowning in some over flavored sauce. In fact it had no sauce pre mixed in, yes that’s right “no sauce” the meat was flavored to perfection with choices of different bbq available on the side. My fav was peach heat. The Best ribs! They are fall off the bone. The most amazing flavor we have ever had! The three of us ate and had a box of food to take home and enjoy tomorrow! The macaroni and cheese is spectacular!! The pulled pork was absolutely crunchy, meaty and delicious!! The sweet potato rolls were out of this world delectable! Veteran owned and operated makes this restaurant extra special! The Brunswick stew was juicy and had tons of flavor! Thank You!Parking: Parking was perfect!!

I was so anxious to eat my brisket sandwich and collard greens, I forgot to take pics of my food. My apologies. All of my food was delicious.Everyone who works here is polite, accommodating, and welcoming. Customer service is VERY important to me, and they exceeded my expectations. They also keep the place clean, including the restroom. I will definitely return to try other items on the menu.

The BBQ was delicious. I would highly recommend trying the ribs and chicken. Also, the portion sizes were huge.I was very impressed with the staff. They were very friendly and caring. WOW! The BBQ here is amazing! I can’t believe I didn’t find this hidden Gem sooner. The food is so delicious and juicy. The pulled pork sandwich was on point and the collard greens have so much flavor. This is a must if you are in Virginia Beach!

The food was good. Little on dry side. I was hoping for pulled chicken. They only do pulled pork. Also brisket and nice thick sliced smoked turkey. Sides are good. I had smoked beans and fries.they were nice and hot. Very friendly

Born and raised Texas vet here been so home sick lately I tried this place and wow ? !!!!! My husband and I will definitely be back! The meat had so much flavor tasted amazing!Parking: Open parking lot
