Food was ok and staff member was friendly BUT by 9.10pm sweeping of the floor began around our table (while we were half way through our meals). Brilliant service the two days Poppy went here. Two days in a row he might add, that's how good the food is. Poppy went to the Ascot Portside Wharf Aamaya restaurant. Poppy could absolutely not get enough of the Chicken Tikka Masala with Garlic Cheese Naan. Out of this world. I'd go back in a heartbeat if and when Poppy is back in Brisbane. Some of the best Indian curry Poppy has ever sampled. Friendly service and nice location. Thumb up, definitely worth an eat!
Food was below average.
Chicken 65 was like KFC chicken (I don't think it was fresh).
Paneer Tikka Masala was like Shahi Paneer. Non-Indians would not be able to differentiate between different curry flavors.
Naan and Veg sheek kebab was good.
Polite staff.
Note: this review comes from a foodie. I have explored best restaurants in Sydney and Melbourne. I still haven't found a good Indian restaurant in Brisbane:(

This place is amazing! THIS PLACE got me INTO Indian food, it's amazing and I really encourage people to try it out. This is the first review I've ever written and I had to do it for these guys. I'm a local and really love it! I wish they had more options for Vegan items, but even the meat dishes are amazing! I am drooling! Thankyou for your amazing food Aamayas!
Would never go back to this restaurant EVER again!
Went here with my boyfriend everything was going really well until the staff start to make you feel really uncomfortable sweeping the floor around you WHILE YOU EATING!!!!!! Food was just ok, portion size very small and prices expensive. Owner is very rude too wouldn't come back here again.
This restaurant gives you the feeling of posh because you are sitting in Portside wharf. The place has good food, ambiance and service. You can visit this place when you crave Indian. Without the craving, it's an average to good Indian food. Then again, I am a picky person with Indian food.
Good quality, flavoursome Indian food. It's very close to home but I'd travel for the food, highly rated! Restaurant decor and ambience is excellent and staff are always friendly
