Went here tonight ordered their garlic prawns tandoori platter, dahi puri, masala puri and paneer tikka. No doubt the place is always full so would be advisable you do a booking before you go there else you will have cue in the line and wait till somebody leaves and than you will be allocated a table which could take a while. Place is lovely nice ambience and atmosphere they have two branches one here at Deer park and one in Footscray. However no comparison the one in deer park is far much much better. They do need to improve on their customer service though I think they have too many people since their food is good demand is always high hence hard for them to keep up! they need to have one...
Met some friends here for dinner and were a little hesitant as the reviews hadn't been fantastic but we were pleasantly surprised, the food was every bit as good at Aangan Footscray, we had never eaten at Derrimut before but numerous times at Footscray. We ordered Samosa Chat, Chicken 65, Chicken tikka, butter chicken, garlic naan and everything was spot on and we would not hesitate to come back here. The staff were very friendly and service was swift and efficient. All our meals were lovely and we would not hesitate to come back here again. Lovely space too if you are having a few people, more room to move than at the Footscray restaurant. Keep up the great work!
I have been to Aangan restaurant in West Footscray many times and always happy with the food. Today my friend and I decided to try Aangan at Derrimut. As we can't be bothered to drive to footscray.We ordered chicken dum briyani,butter chicken masala and garlic nan.The naan was oily,the butter chicken masala was average and the briyani was bland.The yogurt was runny.No wonder the place was quiet. We won't be back there for sure.Will stick to Aangan in West Footscray.
I have been to this restaurant about 3 times and have not been disappointed. Of all the Indian restaurants I have visited in Melbourne, Aangan is among the best. They have a good choice of menu. Only issue being, it is an expensive restaurant. But the food is quite tasty and worth spending the money on. However, I would not recommend take away as eating there is better than the take away food.

Some of my local Indian friends recommended this restaurant to me and I was keen to try it as I knew these friends were very fussy about good food. We had a great time, the service was prompt and staff were friendly and helpful. I have eaten Indian food before that had loads of chilli but no 'depth' of flavour. Aangan food is delicious and I'm looking forward to going back again soon.
If you want to feel like you're dining in India, come to Aangan. However don't expect upmarket and pleasant surrounds. Expect a small side entrance to a noisy, crowded dining arena. The food really is no better than your average local Indian diner. Don't cross city precints going to Aangan just because someone said it's the best Indian in Melbourne.
Have been here numerous times and i believe the food is great quality. Have never had a bad experience. Lovely setting with authentic Indian food. A must try for Indian food in this locality
Awesome food, besides meeting and catching up on Sunday afternoon with friends. Service was a bit slower than usual times, but the food covered that time.

This was my first Indian meal in Melbourne. Really enjoyed daal makhani and methi malai matar. This place is too far for me to travel but worth a visit.
Samosa had bad ( off ) potatoes in them and they would not admit it. Stay away from potato based products
