I have always loved the South Indian cuisine and find an authentic Chettinad restaurant is discovering gold. The spice mixture in the stew was perfect and just the right amount. The appams were softly fluffy and melt in the mouthpieces. The Masala Chas was fantastic, loved the use of coriander and spices, a perfect digestive drink to accompany the spices of stews. The Ghee Roast Dosa was crisp and yet the dough was fermented well so it had the bubbles. Very well done Dosa. The Minze-Cutney was the highlight of the night. Refreshing and delicious. The tomato rug was also very fresh and delicious. However, I didn't like much like the coconut cutney, somehow it was lacking in taste and taste. The potato masala filling was also bland and ok. The Dosa was so good that I would just order it the next time. Could not stop mixing on the Dosa without any accompaniments being sooo good) I have a little appetite I left behind, decided to come back so I can try other dishes. Great food and good service. Service was promptly reached on a Monday evening at 9 pm) we were served within 5 minutes the Chas and Appam in 10 minutes and Dosa in 15 minutes. It took 10 minutes to finish everything. They are open until 10 o'clock. This is also a plus point so many restaurants in the Bay Area near 8 or max 9 pm.

Was so excited to visit this restaurant in CA. After visiting them I wish they open a branch in Dallas real soon. We ordered kheema appam and regular appam with crab masala. The appams are soft and fluffy and reminded me of home. They come with a side of masala gravy. You can always ask for a portion of coconut milk, which is charged additional. The crab masala was excellent and I had no qualms being as messy as possible to relish the flavor. Suggest taking this to-go, if you live close by. Pricing : Moderate to high, depending on what you order. The crab masala was expensive. Ambience : You go to such restaurants for authentic Chettinad food and not the ambience. Parking is available right outside as the restaurant is in a strip mall. Will I return? : Absolutely!

It was just great! The appam was so good! The food was very authentic. Shows the best filter coffee in the bay area. The poondu kuzhambu (garlic-tamrind based curry) felt made home. Just say the food here reminded me of home.

Happiness is eating Desi ghee gajar ka halwa in a South Indian restaurant! The chiken lollipop was just crispy enough, the dosa and appams, just the right amount of fluffy, and the ambience felt just like back home!
