I had 2 friends visiting Switzerland and we ate in this restaurant on 11th July. It had to be the worst possible service I (and my friends) have ever experienced. Firstly we wanted to sit outside as it was a sunny evening, but after a rain shower earlier, some of the tables had some water on them but the waitress was really insisting we sit inside as it meant she had to wipe them......in the end we said we would dry them off as it was not a problem! We ordered our meal and when the wine arrived, she opened the bottle, and we said we loved that sound......to which she grumpily said...good wine should not make that sound! Excellent summer restaurant and bar in front of river Aare and inside the old town of Solothurn. First time i went there had an amazing pizza, everything fresh. Second time had a tortellini dish with salad. Salad was fresh with a choice of french or Italian dressing. Tortellini were cooked perfectly with a fresh cream sauce. Staff is amazingly friendly but bear in mind that not all of them speak English but they will help you.
This summer bar that sits on the Aare River that runs through Solothurn, Switzerland is a lovely way to enjoy a summer evening with some friends. A variety of drinks are available, but to try the local "Oufi" (Eleven) Solothurn Bier is recommended.
One of the best summer (& winter spots) to get a very very tasty pizza in Solothurn. Enjoy one of the many differents proposal or choose your own topings. Highly recommended.

the bar lounge of the restaurant is located in a historical building in solothurn directly on the edge of the river. that was once the local slaughterhouse. Don't worry.
one of those places you just want to hang around. huge space next to the river. great outdoor seats on the water, inside the huge windows, high ceilings.
