We’ve been to the restaurant a few times now and always really enjoyed it but this time was a bit disappointing. Staff, as always were brilliant and food was good but service was very slow . It was a 90th birthday family get-together so we all enjoyed ourselves but we felt as though we were an afterthought in terms of service. I know the hotel was in the middle of major works which must have affected things and I know the staff were very busy. Won’t stop us going back though.

I've dined in a Michelin star restaurant before and this experience was not far off. I chose the restraunt as it had venison on the menu. All dishes were excellently presented, and the flavours were subtle and layered, most impressive and highly recommended.

We went for festive afternoon tea and unfortunately we were quite disappointed. The Sandwiches were quite dry and hard and the rest was quite bland and shop bought. The hotel was beautiful though and the servers were attentive and kind.

Limited choice, service good but too formal. Menu needs to be reviewed, this is a traditionally English Hotel, the food should reflect the very best of English food. Bring back the steak and Kidney pudding

The food was delicious and was served in a very professional way by Sorin who is always amazing .
