Acero - Reservar una mesa

Acero Eiscafe is a little gem in a great district just a few minutes walk off the river Rhine. The fresh selection of veggie vegan quiches were updated several times each day. We visited 4 5 times over a couple of days and we tried several different quiches and cakes. The staff are all really friendly, relaxed and helpful. The ice cream is lovely they make it themselves and have vegan ice cream available. The flavours were really nice and portions were generous. The flavours are regularly updated throughout the day, so you can try different options and a good variety of options.

As an italian i got used not to expect much from icecream abroad. HOWEVER, this icecream is so famous in town and has always a queue in front, so i accepted to give it a try. The queue is there because they only have one slow guy serving. Few tastes, half of them vegan, which is a point for a vegan maybe but not for an icecream lover. No possibility of whipped cream on top. It's overpriced also for swiss prices. A special mention for rum-krokant taste that has absolutely nothing crunchy in it.

We was walking around the city and we found this cafe. It look cosy from outside and there is not much table so we decided to go there to have a Tea and something small for our chit chat. Its nice and not pricey. You also have Bio food from them and everything is homemade.

We love the ice cream this place is serving but the service is extremely slow, meaning that you will have to wait up to 30 minutes to get some ice cream.

We visited Basel for one night on our way home. Had a nice lite dinner at the Acero Euscafe very good coffee and cakes. The service was great.
