My wife and I had lunch at Aces BBQ recently. It is located on 495 between Taylor Rd. and Shary Rd. in Mission. Aces has been in business for ten years and they really know how to make delicious BBQ. I have dined here before and have always been pleased, but this time I wanted to try something new. Upon entering, you place your order at the counter and the cashier brings it to you. Aces has signs promoting their farm-raised Catfish, so I decided to try it. My wife opted for the brisket tacos. My meal included fries, Cole slaw, and homemade tartar sauce. I went into the restaurant looking for a quick and simple brisket sandwich to go. When I asked the young lady if I could have some bark on my brisket, the cook overheard and shouted, "I'll make it however you want, buddy!" I explained that I like the bark on my brisket because it's where all the flavor is. He agreed and I ended up having the best brisket sandwich I've ever had south of Austin! I will definitely be going back and thanks to the cooks for the delicious meal!
