It was just kind of… bland? Which is not at all what I was expecting. Went on a Wednesday night and the service was quite slow. The empanadas were fine, but the meat in the center was ice cold. My wife had the pulled pork and I had the thin sliced ribeye, both of which were ok, but why pay $30 for some heated up beans and rice with mediocre flavor? Definitely not worth the price tag. The environment was too noisy for my tastes (to the point of having to nearly shout to be heard across the table) but that’s more of a personal preference than a knock against them. Yuka Frita were cold, oily and unseasoned. I wouldn't recommend them. Had a vodka martini that may as well have been served in a thimble, it barely wet my whistle. Come on guys, I know you need to make a mark up on your liquor and I'm more than happy to pay for it, but that was really stingy. The chicken fried arepa was good but lacked seasoning and a bit of spice. Asked for hot sauce and that helped a lot. The beef arepa was tough and underwhelming. Had great servers and the atmosphere was cool.
The ambience received a poor grade due to the excessive noise level, making it difficult to have a conversation. The acoustics were too bright and lacked soundproofing on the floors and walls. Two tables of 6 women each were particularly loud, prompting us to use earplugs. Service was rated as fair because even with a reservation, it took 5 minutes to be seated and 15 minutes before we were attended to by the wait staff. However, the food, as always, was excellent.

Enjoyed a nice dinner here on a Friday. We made reservations, but I don't think it was necessary. The presentation is really nice, but we all agreed the food was a bit lacking in terms of flavor. The drinks were excellent, loved the Dos Mariposas. The servers are nice, but my water was empty most of the time. It was not overly packed, the decor is very trendy, but it's a bit loud if that bothers you.
The food at this restaurant is delicious and the service is excellent for dine-in customers. However, I have tried ordering takeout several times and every single time, they have made at least one mistake with my order. I highly recommend dining in to avoid any errors with your food.
The service at this restaurant was extremely slow, even though it wasn't very busy. This delay affected our dining experience and made us late for the theater. We were seated before 6pm, but our main course didn't arrive until 6:50.
Mike our server was awful! But I love this restaurant! All the other employees were wonderful. It’s such a bummer to have one bad apple ruin everything. The drinks amazing. The food wonderful! Mike: the worst.

Nice food, nice ambiance, good customer service. I have been to Chao Pescao a couple of times and had a great time here.
Good place to go with friends and family. Perfect place before curtain!
