We went here for a birthday dinner this week. We started with the boudin balls and the Cesar salad. My husband really enjoyed the boudin balls, as he really enjoys brisket and anything bbq. The Caesar salad fell short. Something in the salad was very bitter and we couldn't taste the dressing very much. The sourdough croutons were the best part about the salad. For our entres, we ordered the scallops and the rigatoni. My husband really enjoyed the scallops and the grit cakes. The coconut sauce lacked flavor though. My rigatoni was OK. The sauce was great, the sweet corn was fresh and sweet, but the shrimp tasted very fishy, and the noodles were undercooked. I'm sure they were going for an al...

Good, but I was still a bit underwhelmed. I had high hopes for this place, given that I had been driving by it since it opened up when I was in college, but never got a chance to try it. I ordered the boudin balls, summer chicken orecchiette, and fried ocre. The boudin balls were the best part of the meal. They were filled with beef brisket from what I could tell, and the spicy mustard and pickles were excellent complements. The orecchiette was great creamy, soft, and well garnished. I also really enjoyed the ancho chili honey sauce that was a unique combination of sweet and spicy. The okra was good, nothing to rave about though. The reason I was underwhelmed was because the chicken was unde...

This Southern farm-to-table restaurant offers a delightful ambiance and friendly service. Tucked away near downtown Auburn, nestled between college apartments and municipal buildings, this hidden gem can be easy to miss if you’re not careful while driving by. The restaurant features a full bar and a variety of booths and tables, all designed in a contemporary farmhouse style with a hunting theme. The waitstaff is warm and attentive, making for a welcoming experience. The menu boasts an impressive selection that includes appetizers, soups, salads, steaks, and a few seafood options. I was genuinely impressed by the quality and presentation of the food. Even the desserts, which I typically don’...

We were in town for bid day and were excited to finally try Acre, as it was our first opportunity to secure a reservation. This is my first review on Yelp, and I travel about 30 weeks a year. The ambiance, bar, and drinks initially raised our expectations. Although we were seated promptly with our reservation, the fried okra appetizer ended up being the highlight of our meal. My wife ordered the Whole Pompano, which was decent, but the sides were lacking. I had the Redfish, which was a generous portion, but it was unfortunately over-seasoned with an excessive amount of blackened seasoning. The crispy potatoes arrived lukewarm, as if they had been sitting under a heat lamp for too long. Perha... Reserva una mesa ahora

We visited for Galentine's Brunch, and it was fantastic! The service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was both cozy and trendy. The food was absolutely delicious; we tried the fried green tomatoes, fish tacos, and Johnny cakes, along with mimosas and a lavender martini. I highly recommend all these dishes, especially the fried green tomatoes—they're topped with crab, which made them my favorite! The martini was refreshing and not overly sweet, which I appreciated. Everything was quite filling, and we’ll definitely be returning!

We started with the laminated cornbread, which was delicious! I ordered the brisket meatloaf, but it was disappointing—more like a warm meat paste, and it seemed like the meat had been overworked. On the bright side, the sauce on top was tasty, and the mashed potatoes were good. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend the meatloaf to anyone. My husband tried the Cuban sandwich, and he enjoyed it. The building is nicely designed, and the table service was commendable.

I was quite disappointed with our visit. We planned our trip to Auburn specifically to dine here after watching the chef on Beat Bobby Flay. While the restaurant itself was lovely and our server did a fantastic job, the food didn’t quite meet our expectations. The fried green tomatoes were a pleasant surprise, but the fish in my tacos was overcooked and excessively greasy. My husband’s burger was rather lackluster and tasted pretty bland.

The service, food, and prices were all exceptional. You can really taste the freshness of the ingredients. I will definitely be back next season to try their new seasonal menu! P.S. I highly recommend the beef tartare; both the portion size and quality were outstanding. Reserva una mesa ahora

We were in Auburn for a quick visit and decided to try Acre. We started with a cheese board, fried okra. All the meals were well prepared and the ambience and service were superb. Try it, you will love it!
