if it was only about the beautifully restored old building and the beautiful (beautiful outdoor terrace) in maudach, this would be one of my favorite spots in the opposite of ludwigshafen. at the end of the day, however, food counts and this is unfortunately not the luck of this place. if the owner nicola is really Italian and cook, he must have forgotten a lot of his school time. one of the most popular Italian dishes 'saltimbocca alla romana' with unappetiful forms? what the devil? in italy, a cook that would prepare such a dish would run risk of being shot on the street after leaving the restaurant! the pizza looked frozen out and tasted part, meat quality of the filet was under average (was it even a filet?) perhaps here the kitchen is pampered by the low expectations of the local clientele. if they love the Italian cuisine, they should not eat here! I'm sure I won't return.

Great food. I rarely ordered my steak medium, and I have it. All the other dishes we ordered were delicious. The service is super friendly and attentive. We had a wonderful evening.
