Hadn 't visited for some considerable time and was looking forward to traditional Sunday lunch, which was one of their highlights in the past. However the experience was not the same. Adams Brasserie no longer do Sunday roasts. The menu they have is limited (no starters and only two options for pudding). My friend ordered steak and chips, which was served with no garnish and no condiments. I would have ordered steak but the only option they had was rump. I ordered the pasta which was adequate but to be honest I could have had this meal in any establishment. The restaurant was also freezing cold and with winter underway this seemed unreasonable not to have any heating. We were told the heating was not working, something I have never encountered in my 15 years visiting the restaurant. The toilets were heated at least. However where they used have hand towels in baskets, a nice luxury detail, this has now been replaced by paper towels dispensed from the wall. There was also one young waiter on duty. And no maitre 'd to take our coats. All in all standards have dropped considerably and no longer consider this a quality establishment, even though the price point seemed high (over £70 for two people having just one course and one glass of wine). I have had much better quality meals, service and ambience at my local Beefeater. Very disappointed.

I have been to this restaurant in the past and it has always been very good....until today. This was the first time I'd been back in around 18 months and the difference was sad. The dining room and the setting are both beautiful but not the food or the service. The menu mainly consists of burgers or pizza with sausage and mash thrown in which we chose. And that's what came. Sausage, mash and gravy. No green veg. We asked for a pepper grinder. We were told they don't have those. We skipped pudding and went straight to coffee. We ordered 2 black coffees with cream on the side. We were told they don't have cream but they could stick a dollop of vanilla ice cream in instead. I don't like cold coffee!! Avoid, avoid, avoid at all costs. It was absolutely awful. Just keep driving. Don't stop here.

Frozen food served on a plate. Staff were friendly but very slow. Do not recommend if you want a good meal, I could have made a better meal at home. Caesar salad tasted off, burger patty was frozen, and fish did not taste right. Every single person in our party struggled to finish their meals.

We were staying in the hotel with our three young kids for my wife's 40th Birthday. The staff in the restaurant couldn't do enough for the kids and us as a family, particularly Agis. The food was great as well
