Surprised by the decoration very heavy and very ? cliché ? Portugal is today a modern country with good taste: here the colors are so dark and plastic grapes everywhere make the ambiance very depressing. Prices are completely exaggerated for what the place is. The food is lack luster, doesn?t have much taste and doesn?t justify the high price. It?s Newark, yet it?s more expensive than a lot of classy New York restaurants. The service and customer service are nonexistent. Really a bad experience, the worst I have had in a long long time. We didn?t get asked if the food was okay, if we wanted anything else, etc. Took over 15 minutes to come even ask if we wanted our check or desert or anything...
we are so grateful that we have found this place. we had a hard day missing our flight to portugal due to weather delays. we wanted to see if they could put us so late. they were amazing...hadow our table ready to have a place for our luggage and made us feel like we were in lisbon right. the manager greeted us with a warm welcome and ready to give us recommendations for eating. apropos eating, it was incredible that we steak, stuffed garnels and laughs all delicious and great portions along with a delicious white sangria. after a hard day is what we needed and we ended the night laughing and happy. many thanks to marco and luis for the great experience
Food was fantastic. Of a party of 12, not one complaint on the quality of the meals. Portions are large and the menu was very diverse. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Prices were out of but worth it. Only reasons it's not a 5 star were because they were having an issue with the lighting and they didn't bring out all the meals at the same time. One dish was delayed about 10 minutes. Overall a great experience.
Very good restaurant in all aspects . Healthy and delicious food, generous portions. The restaurant has a good decoration and several environments including an upper floor. Waiters are friends. I ordered fish with mashed potatoes and my companion a filet mignon. For dessert, a flan and a bomb. Everything divine. I recommend and will be back. The price is above average.

Service and food have been consistently great throughout the years and I've been going to Adega since day 1. Marco the restaurant manager is ace and does an amazing job in accommodating and ensuring that every function meets the customers expectations time and time again. we had our sons christening and birthday here. Thank you for the 5 star hospitality!!

I've eaten at this restaurant many times over the years. The food and drinks are always amazing and the restaurant itself just keeps getting better and better. I recently had my son's christening in their new room upstairs and WOW! Just beautiful. Service, atmosphere, food... just everything impeccable!
Food was fresh but some selections were bland. The Spanish sausage in garlic sauce was amazing. Octopus and lamb shops were bland but were fresh. They have their own parking which is good for the busy area. Clams in garlic were also tasty. Was pricey but worth the portions.

Nice and cozy place. Definitely has changed over the years. Felt ignored by our server at times. There was s couple who came in after us and were served and left before we were. My rice and veggies were cold. Sangria was nice though.
Upscale Portuguese dining. Expensive but the food is really good. I got the paella which was filling and delicious along with escargot which had a tasty savory garlic sauce!
