Afghan Kabob & Donair Ltd

Small cafe style restaurant with middle eastern fare. I went in with a friend at about 6pm on a Tuesday night. The only donair meat they had was lamb, with beef heating up (not ready), and no sign of chicken. Got the lamb donair (in a wrap with veggies and sauce) and a donair plate (on flavoured rice with salad on the side). Didn't look into the Qorma/kebabs because we had heard good things about the donair, and the other stuff is pricier. This place serves great traditional donairs. I've had the beef and the lamb and honestly there isn't much difference between them. They don't have an assembly line ala Subway where you get to pick and choose what you want on your donair, but I like them the way they make them (minus the pickles). If donairs are what you're after, I have to stress that these are not newfie-style filled with sweet sauce or the meat-filled monstronsities served at Super Donair. They use a lot of veggies on the donair and a combination of ingredients that includes banana peppers, onions, lettuce, pickles and tomato. I went with a group of 5 and we ordered the platter which comes with various grilled meat, afghan rice and pita. Everything on that platter was incredibly good. From the tandoori chicken to the beef kabobs, the flavour was all there. Rice and pita was good as well. We all agreed this was an excellent meal.

To put it quite simply, this restaurant has amazing food. The meat is so flavourful and of great quality. I have not tried anything that I haven't enjoyed. I like the decorations in the restaurant as well, it creates a nice atmosphere. I definitely will keep coming here for a delicious donair!
