Went to Barry Road Shopping Strip, Campbellfield late this afternoon to buy Turkish sweets for my kids - they love those honey soaked fried choux pastries..I'd spent most of the day making my famous lasagna for dinner.. my Calabrian Godmother's very special recipe - yeah it's good... or so everyone tells me - unbelievably good..!Anyway, I get out there... as soon as I get out of the car, all I can smell is this 'irresistable smokey - delish charcoal grilling freshly marinated meat' scent... hey, I can't walk away from that sort of whiff easily... no.. no way...I buy the sweets, put them in the car, then go 'chasin that smoke'...Found it.. a few doors down.. at AFGHAN KEBAB CAMPBELLFIELD..It'...
We found this unassuming restaurant while staying at Coolaroo, a short walk away.It's in Barry Road where there are lots of Kebab houses to choose from, but this one looked clean and friendly, and pretty popular with locals. We were not disappointed with the tasty food. Large helpings of Dumplings with dahl and salad, and Lamb shank with rice was all freshly cooked and the "big little" bread for only $1 was excellent (and straight out of the oven).
This is a great little place to eat in Campbellfield. I just happened to stumble across it when I was working in Campbellfield for the day, and will definitely make this my 'go to' lunch place whenever I'm in the area. Great food and good lunchtime atmosphere. Definitely recommend it.
Came here twice. Had a mixed plate the first time and the eggplant the second. Both were excellent value for money, and the staff were genuinely nice. Tip: add the Afghan bread, it's served warm and is amazing.

The meat and chicken was so nicely cooked it melted in my mouth!! The price was also extremely fair considering the amount of food you got and how testy the food was!!
The food was incredible and I had a fantastic time last night with my family. I have tried a lot of Afghan food across Australia, but this place is truly exceptional.
This restaurant serves the best BBQ I have ever had! The mixed plate and seekh kabab with pilaf are my all-time favorites. I highly recommend this place!
Thank you for hosting our lunch meeting today. The food was delicious as always, but the dumplings were a new favorite! The renovation looks great too!
