We went here last night for our first time and were delighted! Food was excellent- great flavors! Service was personable and friendly. We were impressed with their extensive menu and list of vegetarian options. I had Akwaaba Stew vegetarian. My husband had a stew with oxtail, cassava and plantains, and we shared some veggie samosas. We loved our food! And we shared a delicious banana bread with chocolate for dessert. We look forward to returning soon and working our way through the menu, trying new dishes and flavors, and learning more about African cuisine, which we know is quite varied. This restaurant was fantastic! It had a warm, cozy atmosphere and the family-owned vibe added a lovely, homely touch. The food was incredibly fresh, delicious, and packed with flavor. The spicy soup with fufu was extremely spicy—in a good way! I can't wait to return. The service was outstanding; our server was happy to explain everything on the menu, which I really appreciated. This is definitely one of the best restaurants I've been to in Colorado! Everyone should give this place a try!

What a delight! The moment you step inside, the aroma is enough to awaken your taste buds. The menu offers a wide variety of options that go beyond the usual fare, featuring plenty of plantains and chickpeas paired with flavorful spice blends. "Unique" is a perfect way to describe it! The staff is incredibly friendly and very helpful when it comes to navigating the menu. Be sure to try the Welekele—it's highly recommended! Service: Dine-in.

My favorite local spot to eat. The food is always amazing and the family who runs the place are always super friendly, nice, and helpful. The goat is always cooked perfectly, the plantains are some of the best I've had in the area, and everything is always delicious. Never disappoints! I tried African Grill and Bar today for the first time and it was fantastic! I had a coconut stew with chicken with fried plantains and everything was so flavorful, savory and scrumptious. And very reasonable in price. I will be back! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

I visited this restaurant after reading the previous reviews, and they definitely lived up to the hype. The meat was so tender it practically fell off the bone, the service was excellent, and the food was truly outstanding.
