What an amazing night! I couldn't find a single fault with anything! I bought 3 tickets for my partner, her brother, and myself to attend the New Year's Eve celebration at the Tavern. The ticket price of £10 was very reasonable compared to other local pubs and venues. The staff were excellent and despite being busy, they worked hard to minimize wait times at the bar. The manager, Ant, was delightful and made sure that everyone had a great night. The band, the Titanic Dance Band, that was playing that night was exceptional and really added to the fun atmosphere. After spending the night in Horley before our flight from Gatwick airport, we were recommended this restaurant by our hotel. Despite having to walk about a mile in the rain, we were relieved to find a warm place to relax. The restaurant was bustling with Halloween festivities, so we decided to grab a couple of drinks. Although we were initially told food would be available, we were disappointed to discover it was not being served that evening. Nevertheless, we found a sandwich at a nearby shop. Overall, we enjoyed the experience of visiting an English pub and found the drinks to be quite good.
The entertainment and atmosphere at this restaurant in Horley are top-notch. Drink prices are affordable, and the management does a fantastic job of running the establishment and providing excellent service. While some of the clientele may be a bit unusual, that is not the fault of the management. The beer garden is a great feature, staying open late into the night unlike some other local pubs.
