Neat roadside place! They even have a manual drive through and by that I mean they don't have a board and speaker to order, you just drive up to their window, ring the bell and they come and take your order. And they are quick! They make everything fresh and they are still 5 minutes or less every time we have stopped. They also have a dining room with eclectic retro style, you can even order a bottle of beer inside. We have used the outdoor picnic space too. The burgers are fantastic and the shakes are our favorite cool down treat. A very classic drive-in feel with good food!
When you drive the 8 miles from Lanesboro just to get dinner at AJ?s Dinner you?ve gotta know there?s a reason especially with so many options in the area. A fun menu with plenty of things to pick from burgers, fish, chicken and ribs. Incredible friendly staff whose goal seems to be all about service. Not a lot of gluten free options it?s not that kinda place really.
When I drive back and forth from Minneapolis to Dubuque I drive by A.J. 's Dinner. I always say, next time I 'll stop and eat. I finally did. I ordered the crispy chicken club. It was pretty darn good, excellent fries. Much better meals than any fast food restaurant but just as quick. Don 't say next time, stop today.
absolutely amazing staff, very attentive to their guests. their burgers are wonderful, their service was done in record time. truly friendly people (and their dog is a sweetheart too . definitely making a return trip! highly recommend for anyone passing by in need of a good lunch :
