In summary, the waitress was very friendly but unfortunately new and made a few mistakes. We opted for the table d'hôte (2b) and after the soup, volcano, and tataki of tuna and salmon, we were only able to finish about half of our 26 sushi pieces. You certainly won't leave hungry if you choose option 2b. The volcano dish was visually impressive, being lit on fire at the table, and had a crispy texture. However, I found it to be too large in diameter with too much filling compared to the crispy exterior. The sushi was decent, but on the larger side and not as refined or flavorful as some popular takeout chains.
So I went here with my family and I was very disappointed. Not only did the server hit on my daughter(she is 11). I can get over that but when the food came it was subpar. I wouldn't recommend it unless you wanna get explosive diarrhoea and have your daughter learn new pick up lines.
We tried many other sushi restos in Montreal. Aji sushi is our favorite place now. We always looking forward to go back to try something new.Freshness, quality and the presentation of the food is great. Chef has his creations at heart. Owner and staff are very friendly.
