I have been absolutely blown away by this place. My family is Bengali so we are really picky about our takeout Indian food (my mom says “why should we pay for stuff we can make at home and Akbar has been consistently excellent since I was 16 (also very popular catering hall/wedding venue) but I am writing this review now because their recent customer service deserves special recognition. I pre ordered a large catering order for an office party the next day with my co workers and one of the dishes was a little too spicy (I tried everything since most of my office isn’t used to Indian food). We had a great time. We were pleasantly surprised that she went to a dinner buffet so we could taste many different dishes. The price was very reasonable. The food was delicious. I really appreciate that if necessary they were clearly referred to as “image”. My friend and I love naan (I hope I have the right spelling) and we are happy when the hot bread was presented at the table! The waiter was very helpful and friendly. The ambience was great! The restaurant is wonderfully decorated and the noise level was great. We're coming back!

Over priced small portions. Let me tell you, the food is ok. Yes ok. $24 for a regular portioned extreme rose smelling chicken biriyani , that’s a robbery there. Sour mango lassi for $7. And the chicken tikka masala got no flavor in it. The interior is so tacky. The cheese naan were good though. The appetizers were sooooo small or top the drinks were over priced. $15 for a small lychee mojito.I mean it’s understandable that fancy places will be expensive but please serve enough portions and improve your cooking.

Soo over priced! $5 for a naan? Give me a break... service was ok they don't listen to directions. Yet for 2 people without alcohol 1 appetizer and 2 entrees cost us $100 which I thought was beyond over priced.My food review1. Papri chat was good 9/10 very small portion2. Biryani 4/10 rice were uncooked and dry didn't smell like biryani3. Chicken tikka masala 10/10 taste great. Smelled delicious and sauce consistency was perfect

Yesterday I was eating with my family in this restaurant. service atmosphere was good, music is so relaxing, but as I heard a lot about eating in the akbar restaurant, I am not satisfied. I ordered 4 appetizers 5 entrées. all appetizers were good, but main course is average I am not happy about the food that my expectations were not fulfilled as I expected. my total experience was 3/5.

This is a superb Indian cuisine restaurant with great ambiance and delicious food. I came for a business dinner and service was great. We ordered, chicken, lamb and shrimps and they were all just fine. The Manager, Sandeep came by twice to see how everything was. I would highly recommend it and would definitely be back again.

The food was not fresh at all, sent the biryani back, came back worse than before. The food took too long. Unorganized setup. The only good thing they had was separate room and seating for large groups. Space for kids to move freely.

It is a beautiful place, especially if you like good spicy Indian cuisine, the staff was very attentive to everyone as we celebrated the retirement of our staff, I definitely recommend this restaurant.

vegetarian dishes. bhindi masala was not authentic. the REKTANGULAR CONTAINERS have focused on the quality of life. jurisdictions in the highest price and lessquantity. there were no problems.

Too expensive.Friend of 5 ended up paying a total of more than $200 small portion.-taste of food is so-so.! Check there menu and price before eating there.
