I attended with my wife, I had known the previous manager for many years, I ordered dinner, when this was served the portion of spaghetti was so small basically a child's portion. When the manager was questioned made an absolute song and dance no no no if you want more you have to pay. All I can say is bring back the old managment clearly shows the owners don't know who they are employing this is a resturant it's built on repeat business. I will never go back if I could give it 0 stars I would. The italian across the road the service is better the portions are bigger and the staff certainly more accommodating.
My partner took me here for my birthday and we weren't sure if there would be anything on the menu for me as im gluten intolerant. Surprisingly they have a substitute for gluten in both pastas and pizzas. It was an absolute delight, the burrata and aubergine starter was devine and the pizza was so good it was even better than the gluten dough. My only thing was the toilet wasnt very clean all round on the appliances etc. Other than that no qualms at all, would definitely go back.
Very enjoyable meal with friends on Saturday eve. As always, hearty portions at sensible money. No frills, just good honest Italian dishes that I could eat every day! No wonder this long established restaurant is always busy....a sure sign they are doing something right to keep diners happy.
I have been going to Al Fresco for over 30 years and it never fails me. That deliciously welcoming smell hits you the minute you walk through the door. The food, the atmosphere, the service are all excellent. The rustic decor is also lovely. Generous portions and good value for money.

Excellent Italian food, with a willingness to amend the menu to meet our (low carb) wishes. We were able to book in at short notice and get a good table. Staff friendly and helpful, cuisine superb. Definitely a regular on our go to list now.
Very generous portion of Tagliatelle Asparagi (asparagus salmon). A good solid meal. The decor aims at rustic familiar and achieves. It's a small treat to be offered the separate desert menu for temptation even when having lunch.
We were a table of 4 having returned here after a long break. We were all pleasantly surprised as we had a very enjoyable meal and our waitress was both pleasant and attentive. We all look forward to a return visit.
One of the best Italian restaurants. Amazing food. Friendly staff.specially Tanya was so lovely welcoming. Prices are very reasonable too. Highly recommended!

Absolutely the all time family favourite! It has been for so many years and will continue to be the best Italian outside of Italy for us!
