my wife and I stayed in starnberg before we started our hike on the König-Ludwigs path. we needed a break from schnitzel and beer and decided to try this Italian restaurant. the service was friendly and fast (although it was carried out in a sometimes confusing mix of italiano, German and English!) we were first pampered with a free bruschetta. for 35 euro we shared a bottle of water, an salate and a small carafe wein, then we had separate appetizers, a large portion tiramisu and espresso, followed by a free lemonencello. the portions had a good size - not excessively large or small. the waiter stopped several times to fill our water and wine glasses. we have lost ourselves during a Sunday trip and have just happened to go to the gallo nero, which began as a mistake, became a wonderful discovery. the personal greeted us as old friends and gave a great table, their attentive art was really perfect and we have appreciated it very much the situation. eating was one of the best Italian dishes we have ever enjoyed, including in italia, rather on a Bavarian lake. the restaurant was very popular with locals and that too right, because the experience was quite the best we have tried. but the biggest shock were the cost, only 33 euro for our three courses and coffees without lack of quality or presentation.

tired of eating Bavarian I landed on this place - twice. typical Italian menu with the Italian patron in action. eating is quite good - the calf piccata lombarda (zitrone) was among the best I ever had. brusetta pomodoro was an appetizer offered by the house. prices are appropriate for starnberg. beautiful seating outdoors. many local guests, not only tourists. on a Sunday evening in summer it was full.

cherries: baked Bolognese sauce, tastes properly burned and burned out of the pan. fresh whispers of simply terrible quality, tiny, hard pellets in oversalted broth, other noodle dish with the same burned tomato sauce, but nice staff. enough to be slightly nervous and cheerful about how much money they spent for a terrible eating, really terrible, I feel bad when I say it, but just don't go. great Italian eating a few meters from the railway station. we recommend to make a hike and then eat out in this restaurant. the quality of the food is very good. they began to serve a bruschetta as a small appetizer. main dishes are very tasty and balanced. at the end we got a nice piece of cake on the house. are still patient, as they may have to wait long before they receive their court.

a colleague who used to live in starnberg recommended this place and I am glad he did it. the atmosphere was very nice and the food was incredible. it was the birthday of an older lady and the staff brought out a special dessert and sang something to her. Apparently this is something they do for all birthdays.

this is a beautiful place with good eating and usually excellent service. the terrace is very nice in summer and cozy in for the rest of the year. remains open until late in the night and treats special wishes well. in any case worth a visit.
