Al-meezan Spicy Grill

I was introduced to this delightful restaurant about a year and a half ago by my boss during a lunch outing. Since that day, I’ve returned at least once a month, if not more frequently. In fact, I’ve been known to order takeout for 2-3 consecutive Friday evenings... it’s that good (and very affordable)! Al-Meezan’s specializes in Afghan cuisine. If you’re not familiar with Afghan food, let me share my perspective after trying various items on their menu. Stopped by before heading to work. The cashier told me it would take about 8 10 minutes but it took closer to 20 minutes, not sure if they forget to put both skewers. Ordered a Sultani plate for $10.00, which, would have been cheap if it were not for the $2.50 bottled drink. Do not get your drink after you order it will either get warm in this summer heat or you will finish it before getting your dinner. When I went to bathroom there was a black stuff around it, coming out I noticed power outlets had it too, might have been electrical short circuit in the entire restaurant. Food was mediocre to good, meat was tender and spiced well, basmati rice was a bit sticky and hot sauce tasted like jam...

I have eaten in a lot of Afghan grill and shawarma places all over Toronto but Al-Meezan has the best tasting Afghan restaurant. I would highly recommend it the my friends that consider themselves foodies and are loyal to the taste. I would say their food is an experience one must have in Toronto. Too bad they don't have many more locations especially in Mississauga.

The wraps were excellent—I absolutely loved them! The spice level was just right, and the staff were very courteous. However, the seating arrangements could use some improvement in terms of cleanliness. Overall, the food is great. Reserva una mesa ahora
