Was there last year same date. Main changes : the chef lost 50 kg weight and the level of the restaurant improved well beyond the one star.Last year we had the degustation menu, this year we stuck with a la carte. Apart from one of us who was not so impressed by the artichokes and truffle dish (too much truffle, artichokes lost) we were all very happy. I risked the "pizza by Alain LLorca" which is of course not even close to a pizza but was very interesting - can't disclose the fun, you have to try it. Then all of us gorgeous lobster with the pincers in a "nem" (vietnamese spring roll) - exquisite. The sommelier (the old one is clearly phasing out, we got the young one, who helped us very co...

Really a mixed bag. The restaurant is beautifully located opposite of St. Paul de Vence - and gives stunning views. The welcome and service is top quality, as it is expected from a Michelin star restaurant. So far so good. Unfortunately and to our sad discovery, the food did not match the rest. We took two lunch menus and the starters were o.k. but nothing special. Main course though was really strange. The "Bresse" stuffed was very very good and tasty, but the other main course was open to harsh criticism. A Mullet is a nice fish (and in France very underestimated fish) and a cream sauce can be O.K., but mixing it with an Iberian ham lead to a totally unbalanced taste and very odd combinati...
The view alone is reason enough to visit this restaurant. Of course it is quite expensive, so we went there for lunch in stead, as it was a little cheaper. At first we were served a funny tasting jelly with tomato sauce. Luckily it went up hill from there. I especially enjoyed the starter (Cod "brandade") because it was a bit different from anything else I have tasted. It was served with a bit of salad, a light tomato sauce, olives and croutons (the croutons I thought really made the dish extra exciting. The main course (Pan-fried piece of veal) was also good, but maybe a little ordinary. We were all really happy with our deserts and thought it was fun how everyone was served different littl...
What can I say about this place? I love it!!! The terrace is perfectly located overlooking St Paul de Vence. The service is wonderful, the cuisine is absolutely delicious and it has been gifted with a Michelin star for years now. I can only recommend a summer visit. My favorite is June, when the weather is perfect and the number of tourists in the Provence is not overwhelming. Start with a glass of champagne, delight yourself through the menu (I have a soft spot for the black truffles and the dishes they have in the menu offer generous portions of it). The cheese selection is superb and the wine list is carefully chosen. I will come back over and over again. Reserva una mesa ahora
We had both a lunch and a dinner just by accident and both times we were really positively surprised. Especially the dinner was god and the old gentleman serving champagne from his carriage was very pleasant. He helped us with vines and had nice conversations with our small group. The tuna was best I have ever had, artichokes with truffles were great and also the lamb and the birds were tasty. Wine selection is bit extraordinary but the wines are great.Pastries selection is very colorful. If you are nearby do and visit. Do not forget to chat with the gentleman with the vine carriages.
Had a wonderful dinner - swordfish carpaccio on diced melon, watermelon, cucumber and peach: then red tuna on chickpea toast; main course of duck magret with a roasted white fig; incredible cheeses and superb dessert. Our waiter Laurent was passionate and knowledgeable about our meal - amazing service. And the view was lovely. At the end of the meal, the chef Alain Llorca came out and chatted with everyone. Excellent evening.
The warmest welcome ever. Impeccable service and really delicious food. Lunch menu is a steal. The fleur de courgettes stuffed with saint jacques keeps you humming a happy tune. The view over the slopes of Vence with St. Paul on top of the hill is mega romantic.
Excellent in every way; the welcome, the service, the happy buzz from contended diners. Lunch from the set menu was delicious. Desserts were amazing (rum baba and passion fruit soufflé). Cars parked with the minimum of fuss. Recommend. Reserva una mesa ahora
Awesome view from the terrace, great food and wine and service. Best restaurant we have been to for a long time. Worth the expense. Tuna better than the lamb if went back, but both great . Great sommelier Patrick.
This is a full-service restaurant, good for cosy dinners but also large enough for groups. The food is almost gourmet, with plenty of options and very good wines, and the service excellent.
