It's a bit confusing at first because there isn't anyone at the front counter so you have to walk all the way back to realize there's another cashier counter to take your order. the aldie general store and cafe is the coffee and breakfast place in the historic city of aldie, virginia. Surrounded by old farmhouses (aka plantations, the tragically enslaved people), it is a general business with grab and go items, $2 big bottled water and a complete breakfast menu. I went on a Saturday morning and both the inside and outside seats were full and there was a line behind the register. the menu is beautifully written on a chalkboard by the register. they sell all breakfast items, including breakfast sandwiches, coffee and a maple bacon doughnut. the service was very friendly and an Australian woman behind the register gave me local weingut recommended. parking was easy to...
breakfast or lunch, this place is incredibly better than any diner they will find here for a load, it has caffe and small town restaurant cops. only complaining I was not happy to hear, although the kitchen closed more than an hour before the conclusion on some days. I worked years ago in a restaurant and I get that it sucks to clean the kitchen and everything after hours, but if they are open to 3 they should eat up 3! if they want to close at 2 so that they do not have to cook after 2 then change the opening times. the personal is friendly and the place is really cool and very cozy.
This is a fantastic spot to enjoy a variety of drinks and delicious food for a lovely little pick-me-up! Just keep in mind that it closes earlier than other establishments, so plan accordingly.

Aldie General Store and Cafe is a charming spot for coffee and breakfast in the historic city of Aldie, Virginia. Surrounded by old farmhouses, it offers a cozy atmosphere for a relaxing meal.
This charming restaurant is located right off the highway. We stopped for breakfast at a nearby Airbnb and most of us opted for the delicious bagel.
Omelette and Egg Benedict were perfect. The maple bacon donuts were very cute too. Will definitely one back again next we visit Aldie.
the place is great! it is stoney and eating is good! keep them on the way to west loudoun for a walk, they will not regret it.

surprising place with large sandwiches. the market share had a little more to it. the people there are very nice.
