Tucked away in a strip mall, this charming family-owned restaurant offers a genuine dining experience. Although the wine selection is unexpectedly limited, the food certainly compensates for it. My friend tried the veal parmesan and declared it the best she’d ever had. I chose the penne taormina, featuring eggplant, Fontina cheese, and penne in a tomato sauce that was absolutely divine. The sauce was perfect, the portions were generous, and it was accompanied by a large salad. Delicious!
I travel frequently and avoid chain restaurants in search of hidden gems like this one. Although there's no bar, they kindly allowed me to sit at the front with a glass of wine while I waited for my takeout order. The owner was incredibly friendly and even shared a pasta recipe with me during my wait. I took his dinner suggestion, and the food was fantastic. It's a must-try if you're in the area!

Best italian in the area. This place is expensive, but the food is very, very good. Best Italian in the area...they have mastered the red sauce, everything is very fresh, the inside decor is nice, etc. Just be prepared to pay for it...don't assume because of the location right diagonal from a dairy queen that it's cheap. This Italian restaurant is amazing! We make it a point to dine here every week when we're in town. The gnocchi is exquisite, and the country-style chicken is incredibly delicious.
I haven't visited this restaurant in years, but when it first opened, it was absolutely fantastic! It has a nostalgic, old-school atmosphere.
Aldo and Gianni has been in Montvale for years. Their menu offers Consistent Good Food at a fair price.
