Great bartender (who also seemed to be serving as maitre 'd) and very well made, creative delicious cocktails. Space was beautiful and comfortable. The food was what we won 't go back for. First course and dessert were poor, main unimpressive and expensive. Fish was cooked nicely but the 'side ' consisted of 4 different color cold cherry tomatoes cut in 1/2 sharing an artistic streak of sauce on the opposite side of a 15 wide plate. Really? I could do that! We go out to dinner to enjoy a chef 's creativity. Weirdly, the bread and an unexpected amuse bouche were delicious. Having booked this restaraunt and trip to celebrate my partners 50th birthday I wanted something comparable to our favourite Restaraunt in London which is Benares. From the reviews I was a little concerned that Allspice may have been on the informal side for what I wanted but we were in no way disappointed. The interior exudes quite quality and was perfect for our evening and the Internet did not in my view do it justice. The food could be regarded as a little elaborate but we loved everything we tried and the attention to detail was what we would expect of a Michelin starred restaurant and the chef 's brilliance lies in the blending of East and West. While the chef seems talented, this place need a lot of help. While we had a nice evening and the food and service were OK, they were not Michelin level. I expect a Michelin-star restaurant to have plush chairs, nice ambiance, professional service, appropriately sized portions, balanced menu etc. The cafeteria-like ambiance makes me long for the days of Masa when you felt special the moment you walked in. Suggestion for service staff: It is not OK to pour the last portion of wine out of a bottle at the table and not come back to top it off. Suggestion for menu planning: Not OK to have really greasy items in huge quantities with any course.

Raided their starters the beet roots selection, the scallops dessert, the lentil salad and the ravioli. Excellent, even superb! A faint echo of Indian cuisine through selected dots of spices here and there, but never ostentatious. Friendly team, and the kitchen worked wonders the restaurant hosted a group, and open tables in parallel, the kitchen managed with a team of three. A beautiful, intimate setting. Picked the tasting menu. Full of anticipation, we marveled at the beautifully presented dishes. However, our group of eight was disappointed by all courses but one. You would expect from a Michelin-rated chef to experiment with unusual ingredients, flavors and combinations. However, the compositions were just not in harmony. Surprising and disappointing.

Myself and four others ate at All Spice on Valentine's Day this year. They had a special, 6-course meal with wine pairings. It was fantastic. Each course was great on its own, and they also formed a nicely shaped progression. In addition, they had an entire vegetarian menu pre-prepared and ready for me, and made on-the-spot modifications for my two gluten-free dining partners.

We've eaten here before and didn't think they could do better but they did! The food was beautifully presented and the gnocchi was one of the best dishes I've ever had. The service was fantastic and the chef checked on all the tables. Also, the cocktails change seasonally and are really good. Definitely take any suggestions offered by the staff!
