We were visiting Cronulla and decided to have lunch near the beach. Alley Break has a fabulous location overlooking North Cronulla.The staff were very friendly and attentive. We ordered a bottle of New Zealand Savingnon Blanc which was reasonably priced. We all had the steak sandwich which was on sour dough with an egg, rocket, aoli and tomato chutney .The cafe wasn't particularly busy and for four steak sandwiches they did take a very long time to arrive.
We love coming to Alley Break for breakfast. The location is amazing, they do a decent cup of coffee, and their breakfasts are great. But our favourite thing is the Berocca Slushies! They're not cheap but they're the best thing on a sleepy weekend morning. They often have a line to get a table, especially on Sundays, so maybe ring ahead and book a table! You can usually get a table by walking up as long as you don't mind waiting a few minutes.
Having never been to Cronulla before, I was super impressed. My husband and I stumbled across 'Alley Break' on our walk around the area. Food was fabulous and we had a lovely waitress who looked after us. The only downside was the weeping dog who had been tied to a tree right next to our table - I am a devoted dog owner, however this hound was missing his owners terribly and did not stop crying........
Great location, however floor was littered with cigarette butts, had to ask 3 times for water, food was just ok and my girlfriends had a hair in it. For some reason the staff had no personality, felt like someone had just died! No atmosphere at all, not even any music playing. Might go back for a coffee but that's about it. Although they have table service, i ordered at the counter a fish and chips to share with hubby as we only wanted a small meal, and two coffees.Cold tap water was bought promptly to table followed by coffees and shortly after meal with two plates and cutlery. Well done.
Had breakfast early , dish was not enjoyable, greasy and warm food, expected more interesting dish. There is a central table to sit may 10 people , also you have to help yourself to knifes and forks on a separate shelve
Have stopped in here for breakfast a couple of times now and the food is great and coffee delicious. Always busy and bustling which is an indication that they are doing something right.

Our favourite place for lunch - food is always fresh and they do excellent coffee. The owners are Greek and the menu reflects that. Relaxed outdoor or indoor setting.
