This was the most disappointing place I’ve ordered from in a very long time, I was craving soul food and saw this place pop but and tried my luck and struck out. Me and my brother tried everything below and these are our opinions I’ll use a rating scale of 0-10 (0 being bad and 10 being amazing). Let’s start with the sides. We order collard greens but it got subbed for vegetable for the day which was cabbage, the cabbage had zero flavor no seasoning no even salt and pepper, extremely over cooked. Next side was potatoes salad again zero flavor. Next macaroni and cheese sadly this was super disappointing as well not a lot of cheese just noodles with minor cheese and it didn’t taste great. I from long island and there is no better soul food in the upstate capital district then here the yams corn bread mac and cheeses shrimp bbq chicken and turkey wings oh and cat fish is my favs oh and the staff is wonderful the owner is so great always smiling she has such a good soul the main reason why i come when i don't cook myself. This is my go to when im fasting or need a good home cook meal God bless all if u that put this food together and that goes the extra mile for your customers definitely 5 stars oh and did i mention its very clean they wear gloves and always have their hair covered and yes im a pickie person so they are great ??????

I purchased a meal from this restaurant on the concourse during an event for $12. The fried chicken meal consisted of 1 drumstick and 2 (very small) sides. No choice of chicken I would prefer breast piece.. should be at least 2 pieces and also this was soggy and cold. Mediocre at best and certainly overpriced. If it was good maybe the price would fly but it was cafeteria food unfortunately. Sadly it looks like they fell for the trap of overcharging state workers at the campus. I won't be visiting the restaurant.

So this passed wkend they were at market 32 in north greenbush. The sample was to die for. I ordered a few things tonight via door dash. What a huge disappointment. Where's the mac n cheese I tasted over the weekend. Just super bland. And a huge pass on the potato salad. I didnt even eat the chicken. I was so excited. What a shame

Drove 30 minutes to give this place a try, they said they were open until 10pm online but were closed when I got here. I think I’m done supporting black owned businesses. This is a common occurrence amongst blacks.. why? Wish I could tell you. Very disappointed, 1 star.
