Thought we'd try Allora after hearing good things. Nice sunny spot but can get warm if you don't snag an umbrella. Coffee was hot but mediocre and I am a coffee snob. I ordered the Smashed Avo with poached eggs and salmon. It was beautifully presented and the smash was divine. The only comment I would make is that another piece of sourdough wouldn't have gone astray for the $19 price tag. Just not quite enough to fill me. My hubby had the omelette and he chose a chorizo, fetta and shallot combo. His breakfast was a good size and he said it was really tasty. The only comment I would make is he got a normal piece of white bread and not sourdough - for presentation this would've been better but...
My friends and I decided to have a late Sunday lunch at this restaurant, arriving around 2pm, just an hour before they closed at 3pm. Despite the timing, the staff did not rush us to order and there was no mention of the kitchen closing soon. One of us ordered the seared salmon salad and the other had the cajun chicken burger, both of which were delicious. The coffee was good, the service was excellent, and the decor was pleasant. The restaurant is conveniently located near the esplanade, with the option to sit outside and still enjoy views of the Broadwater. As a local, I am constantly surprised by why more people have not discovered this restaurant. It is my go-to place to meet family and friends. I can always get a seat and the menu offers food that I would consider fine dining in a casual atmosphere. I have never had a bad meal or experience here. The service is prompt and attentive, and while it may not be the cheapest place to dine, you definitely get what you pay for. All the breakfast choices are incredible and lunch is just as good. If you are tired of dining in the noisy and busy esplanade area, I recommend heading around the corner to this restaurant for a better choice.
We went to the restaurant for breakfast, we ordered the Eggs Benedict which was excellent, and the lamb's fry. Lamb's fry is not very common on many menus and this was one of the best we have tasted for a long time - a large serving with plenty of bacon and a great gravy! Yum!Coffee's were excellent too. We will definitely be returning to this place.

We had a Sunday breakfast here and it was excellent. They were really busy, didn't wait long to take the order, or too long for food to arrive. I had the cooked breakfast everything was cooked to perfection. My wife had eggs Benedict with bacon she said it was one of the best she's had.
We went here for lunch and loved it. The food was fresh and scrumptious and the service was lovely. If you're not staying near paradise point a number 711 bus, from Southport, will get you there. Well worth the trip!!!
The best coffee on the Gold Coast, with the friendliest staff, no question! Many locals come here every day to get their coffee fix, and I'm one of them - I can't go a day without their amazing coffee!
Honest food. Reasonable coffee. Not the worst in the area. Minimalistic decor inside and with a small al fresco area. In a reasonably quiet location at the northern end. Quaint.

For breakfast or lunch, this cafe doesn't disappoint. Always consistent with its food and service . Nice view also on the park and sea.
