After some two hours of hiking from top of Atzmännig 1150m on picturesque Geoweg Chrüzegg over Tweralpspitz 1327m and Chrüzegg 1265m we came to Alp Schindelberg at 13:30h. A time when Swiss Restaurants usually close their kitchens. But to our big surprise, we were warmly welcomed by innkeeper and Chef Oskar and his assistant and asked to sit down at their regular table (Stammtisch). Oskar went to his new kitchen and came back with a fantastic hot vegetable soup and a bowl of fresh salad, followed by roasted pork with mushrooms, pasta and carrots. All this for only Fr. 20. ! After lunch, we enjoyed the fantastic view over Goldingertal to Lake of Zurich and the real mountains in the distance....
