Riding a horse sleigh up the valley to Alp Garfiun on a snowy evening is a truly memorable experience. The restaurant is set off by itself in a beautiful location and reached only by sleigh or cross country skis.An evening at Alp Garfiun has been a regular part of our visits to Klosters. for a decade. We hadn't been there is a couple of years, and were delighted to find that Marcel Schlunegger is now the proprietor. He has dramatically improved the restaurant--upgrading the décor, expanding the menu and wine list, and providing very friendly service.It is a simple and welcoming place--we usually go for the fondue, but there are now other offerings as well. we have been here for 15 years and are looking forward to our last visit (December 2021): unfortunately the burger is now not describing meat and salat disappointing. we'll try to go back to a few weeks, but I wouldn't. currently recommend. also short employees, but they are not alone at the moment.
Garfiun ist immer eine kuze Wanderung wert.Schön, keine Autos und gaz hinten eine Alphütte zum verlieben.Das Personal ist spitze und effizient, die Speisen für eine Hütte toll und der Wein (Auswahl!!) ist auch nicht von schlechten Eltern.£Fazit: Macht weiter so es war wirklich schön und gut!!
Wir sind von Monbiel bis Alp Nowai spaziert und auf dem Rückweg in der Alp Garfiun eingekehrt. Das Essen ist lecker. Es ist schade, dass die Getränke aus der Flasche kommen und kein selbstgemachter Eistee o.ä. angeboten wird. Ansonsten tadellos und der Service ist sehr freundlich.

Die Alphütten erreicht man durch unberührte Landschaft, im Sommer wie im Winter. Letzteres mit Langlaufskier, per Pferdekutsche oder zu Fuss. Die Küche ist vorzüglich, gut bürgerlich und sehr lecker.
