Visited this pub on the first day we landed at Berlin in Jun 17. The idea was to have some good beer sitting outside the pub. Believe me there is lots of space outside the pub which is mostly occupied by the tourists through out the day. Since we visited in summer it was the most happening place at that time. It did rain sometime and we had to run inside for sometime but it was great being outside the bar. The beer had amazing taste. At the same time I ordered one vegetarian dish which had lots of boiled and lightly sauted veggies with generous amount of hollandaise. They spoke in German and I had a tough time to talk to them directly. Luckily my friend knew German and he helped translating...
I think this café in Berlin is always a good place to have a drink, snack or full lunch/dinner. The cakes look really nice (unfortunately we were too stuffed with dinner, that we couldn't try one out) and the food is very good. Traditional local food with a good glass of beer.There's always something to do as well. Situated on a busy shopping street in Berlin, you can sit outside and go people-watching. When there is soccer on TV, you can enjoy the German ambience inside with several screens to watch the match. There is even a small stage for some live music.We enjoyed the service, food and the atmosphere of this very nice biersalon.
As we were walking and exploring the area we stumbled across a quintessential Berlin Pub. The weather was absolutely Awesome. We ordered some finger food, burgers and some beer. Service was nice and we enjoyed our meal sitting outside and doing people watching. Price wise the menu is okay. This pub is quite famous based on its history.
Great place to sit, relax, enjoy Aperol Spritz and hearty beers with food and friends post-Berlin Marathon! Sat and served right away, several options on the menu for both meat and non-meat eaters, and no rush to get out of there. We enjoy people watching and city atmosphere here quite a bit!

We decided to go for authentic German food. Not sure if that is really what we got, but the place as very busy, I think mainly with tourists. The food was OK with large portions. The service as average - had to wait for a while to start with and then ask for extra drinks.
Great place to people watch outdoor. Beer is good and reasonably priced for the location. Smoked pork was good too although had to ask twice before it came. Waitress was rude when handing the bill, she literally threw the bill on the table
The salon serves good German food and a range of drinks. It is an ideal position to sit outside and watch people passing by. They also have a very funny clown in the evenings imitating those walking past. Though he does not offend them.
We visited this place two times. We had there the best coffee we tried in Berlin. Moreover the walnut cake was delicious and fresh.Finally the location was very good.

This is a great place for a nightcap with hearty portions of a selection of German beers. The great atmosphere and good service add to the experience.
Visited here everyday of my holiday with friends. Lovely to sit outside in the sun and watch the world go by. Highly recommended
