I was there with a group of travelers. the cake was on the table, who knows how long. but the apfelstrudel was delicious. on the treses stood several cans with coffee. a waitress served us. they immediately realized that she had no pleasure. one of my guests came a little later and asked them for coffee. the answer from the waitress: "they can stand there!" when someone else asked about coffee, it was clear that they can be for us. I picked the Alte Canzley restaurant for a special dinner to celebrate my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. I also chose it because of the good reviews, use of organic products, and great location across from the Schlosskirche and 'theses doors.' We were a party of six and, sadly, all of us were disappointed. While the dining room was cozy and historic, the food was disappointingly bland and flavorless. No dish was particularly bad, but there was also not a single entree that was good. The worst pick was probably my mother's salad. The dressing seemed to consist of milk and some vinegar without any herbs. We actually let the waitress know that none of us were pleased with our dinner choices...
on the occasion of a visit in wittenberg had ordered a table for the evening before ostern. the order went without complications by phone.We got a table in the vault. to say that this space is not in the most remote as large as you might think after the pictures on the web page. we sat literally on towel with the graceful. The theke did not fit visually at all to a historical ambiente and reduced the space visually and also in addition. in this sight we had promised more.The service is very friendly, fast and attentive. eating is very tasty. the restaurant is arranged in the upper area, but sometimes you can enjoy it.

the certified organic restaurant with beautiful vault is located at the castle square opposite the castle church. the service staff was very helpful and friendly. tastefully it was very good (tomato soup, large variation from leaf sours on tomato mango dressing with strawberries as well as nuts and roast beef strips) and it was prepared with many fresh crumbs. who is looking for good quality is right here. there is also a beautiful large beer garden out to the back. in restaurant also events like krimidinner etc. with menu offered. we can only recommend the restaurant.
the restaurant lies opposite the castle church and looks rather inconspicuous. but inside you will find a beautiful arched room, a varied menu with wonderful food from the region. the personal is extremely courteous, literally reads every wish from the eyes. the prices are not super-cheap, but totally appropriate for a organic food. we were so excited that we came back the next day and had another tourist couple. also these were enthusiastic. so: 100% recommended!
