Alte Oberförsterei

An unserem vorletzten Urlaubstag hatten wir zur Mittagszeit irgendwie das Bedürfnis, was lecker italienisches essen zu wollen. Ich erinnerte mich zugleich daran, dass wir schon seit ewigen Zeiten der Alte Oberförsterei in Kelsterbach mal einen Besuch abstatten wollten, da wir bisher nur Lob darüber gehört haben. So nahmen wir die Gelegenheit wahr und fuhren kurz entschlossen in die Nachbarstadt Kelsterbach. Zum Parken fährt man am besten ins Parkhaus des Fritz Treutel Bürgerhaus, die Stunde kostet dort lediglich 0,20€. Von dort ist man in zwei Minuten zur Alte Oberförsterei gelaufen.   Spätestens jetzt sollte man sich entscheiden, ob man im Ristorante Ambiente Italiano oder in der Trattoria...

On our insulting holiday day we had somehow the need to eat delicious Italian cuisine at noon. At the same time, I remembered that we wanted to make a visit to the Old Oberförsterei in Kelsterbach for a long time as we had only heard praise. So we took the opportunity and drove briefly to the neighboring town of Kelsterbach. For the parking lot it is best to go to the parking garage of the Fritz Treutel Bürgerhaus, the hour costs only 0.20€. From there you went to the Old Oberförsterei in two minutes. We were in the Trattoria last night about 4 hours, but not voluntary, but because we had to wait for every single gear very long. When a waiter picked up the order at the beginning, I got the question which supplement the mixed fish plate costs at least 55€, the answer if I had not read it. This style, a mixture of incompatibility, ignorance and almost grotesque waiting times, moved like a red thread all night... and it was as long as I said. Too bad, we will definitely not be customers anymore!!

Trattoria Alte Oberforsterei has cooked very tasty paprika pizza in real traditional style, without any additives found in most pizzas in the USA. Prices are reasonable in €11-50 range and service is multilingual aslo friendly. My eggplant pizza was delicious, and the side of bread and oil with salt and pepper was great. Schofferhofer beer was excellent German beer and I wish I could take it back to the USA with me. I recommend!

Trattoria Alte Oberforsterei has very delicious pepperoni pizza cooked in the real traditional style without all the additives found in most pizzas in US....
