Alte Schmiede - Reservar una mesa

Visited Wagrain with a group of friends last week for a skiing holiday. The first time for us to stay in the Alte Schmiede and it certainly won't be our last. The hotel is a family run business where the staff are extremely friendly and...helpful nothing was too much trouble! The rooms were spotlessly clean, well equipped, warm and very comfortable, each one having kitchen/dining facilities, televisions and free wi-fi. Access to the free ski bus was easy and the drying facilities were extremely efficient and also easily accessible. The restaurant and well stocked bar were delightful and the food could not be faulted. Breakfast comprised of a typical continental table with hot breakfasts being prepared and cooked as ordered. Delicious. Dinner was courses, with an either/or main course choice, portions were of a size suitable for hungry skiers and the food was again delicious all freshly cooked and beautifully presented. Thank you to Frau Kossler and Manuela for making our stay so memorable

Stayed here for a week with a group of friends for a skiing holiday. We all had a brilliant time. Small family run hotel warm welcoming and fantastic food. Cosy restaurant/bar area faultless service and friendly staff. We had breakfast and evening meal which...were both great, lots of choice for breakfast with cold and hot food. Dinner was amazing courses of faultless food , the garlic cream soup was the best soup I’ve ever tasted. Rooms were clean and comfortable with good facilities Location was perfect, free ski bus picks up at bus stop right outside hotel minute ride to gondola with fantastic choice of skiing. Will definitely be returning

Had a wonderful evening here. Food was fab well cooked and presented well. Our waiter was great and the Chef came to our table at the end of the night and we were very please to congratulate her on the wonderful meal. I recommend...the steaks and also the weiner schnitzel was not dry at all. The dining room was attractive and we were intrigued by the ancient snuff machine. We had a great night here and I would recommend it

I must share this great Wagrain restaurant-secret with you. Urge you to try out the outstanding non-American Spare-ribs. Modest but very high quality Austrian food and service at a fair price. Thank you for an evening to remember! Yours sincerely, Snorri

Good atmosphere, we have been here many times and always enjoyed. Traditional dishes but also some mire midern dishes
