In 1823 the main house was built on today's federal road 51. At all times of the existence of this old pretensioning economy, it is owned by the Meyer family. A large car park is located next to the restaurant. In 1999 and 2000 we arrived there the last time, at Corona time it was not possible for us, but at last we arrived and stretched out on a Sunday with friends. I was allowed to enjoy the restaurant several times. a party with a buffet was as great as an evening meal in the bauerngarten at kerzenschein. although we had ordered a table in the house, we were offered a table in the summer garden on the basis of the very warm day. both tables were covered and prepared for us. that was a great start. eating in the old house of 1843 is really recommended with the delicious eating there. knipp with roasted kartoffels and supplements for 7,75 € three different steaks with croquets for 16,75 € fishing plate with limades, riesengarnele, zanderfilet jakob...
Wir waren Gäste auf einer Geburtstagsfeier mit 30 Personen. Das Haus kenne ich schon seit 50 Jahren und es strahlt eine gewisse Vertrautheit aus. Bei bestem Wetter wurden wir mit einem leckeren Apero empfangen. Dann nahmen wir an der Tafel im Garten Platz. Alle Speisen kann ich nur als absolut schmackhaft, perfekt zubereitet und optisch ansprechend bezeichnen. Erwähnenswert: der Avocadosalat ist geradezu sensationell. Sehr gute Getränke, höchst aufmerksamer Service, wunderbares Ambiente. Ein Dessert aus Erdbeeren, Himbeeren, etwas Mousse und Sahne schloss das Essen ab. Zum Kaffee gab es Miniküchlein. Eine so gute deutsche Küche gibt es äusserst selten. Grosses Lob an die Familie Meyer!!!!
Auf dem Rückweg von der Nordsee endlich dort mal angehalten seit 20 Jahren immer wieder gesehen und drüber gesprochen. Sehr schönes Ambiente eben klassisch Gasthaus. Kein Schickimicki. Die Speisen gut bis sehr gut. Die Machart genau wie man es erwartet. Wir hatten unter anderem Matjes Hausfrauenart, Cordon Bleu und Kaiserschmarren. Toll! Auch der Gruß aus der Küche.

Blanker Zufall führte uns hierhin Rückreise vom Urlaub mit knurrendem Magen. Sehen, anhalten, reingehen. Ob Matjes nach Hausfrauenart oder Cordon Bleu alles war schmackhaft! Voll empfehlenswert! Auch das Haus plus Anwesen ist sehr schön. Drin eben wie ein typisches Rasthaus.
Das Essen war sehr lecker. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und lustig drauf. Ambiente muss man mögen ist etwas älter gehalten aber für mich ein sehr schönes gemütliches Restaurant. Empfehlenswert! Und besonders der Garten sehr schön.
